Easy Stuffed Mushrooms

Stuffed with breadcrumbs, garlic, mozzarella then baked until crispy on top.
Classic stuffed mushrooms recipe is easy to make and always a hit with my family.
And these delicious bite-sized Stuffed Mushrooms are the perfect appetizer!
These field mushrooms can grow more than 10cm or 4 inches in diameter.
Few ingredients needed, and most of the ingredients you may already have in your larder or fridge!

These mushrooms are cultivated, hence they are much cleaner than wild grown mushrooms.
They look clean with exception of few 'dirt' here and there.
Processed them to fine bits.
Since I am going to use a small amount, hence I made my own breadcrumbs with 2 slices of white bread, or you can use any bread.
Note: If you are using store-bought breadcrumbs, the stuffing will be dry!
Place in food processor and processed to fine crumbs.
Add fine chopped mushrooms stalks into breadcrumbs.
Add garlic powder, black pepper and salt.
Note : why I use garlic powder instead of freshly chopped garlic?
Freshly chopped garlic easily burnt on high heat!
Mix them thoroughly
Arrange mushrooms on baking tray lined with baking paper.
Drizzle some olive oil on to the mushrooms.
Stuff mushroom with the breadcrumb stuffing we made earlier.
Top with mozzarella cheese and bake to golden perfection!
Spaghetti squash serve with napolitana sauce
Roasted broccoli with garlic and parmesan cheese
If you add mushroom to Bolognese sauce or Japanese curry or stroganoff... she's alright with it... but if she were to have mushroom on its own, she prefer to have this Flat Mushroom Bake any time...

Are these field or flat mushrooms?
These big mushrooms are known as field mushrooms or flat mushrooms are sometimes called "barbeque' mushrooms.These field mushrooms can grow more than 10cm or 4 inches in diameter.

Step 1: clean mushrooms with kitchen paper.
Should I wash mushroom prior?
I don't wash any mushrooms prior, especially when I am baking them.These mushrooms are cultivated, hence they are much cleaner than wild grown mushrooms.

Step 2: Separate stalk
I separate stalks and place them in food processor.Processed them to fine bits.
Step 3: Make breadcrumbs

My little Miss E is a bit fussy when it comes to eating.... she doesn't like capsicum and mushroom.If you add mushroom to Bolognese sauce or Japanese curry or stroganoff... she's alright with it... but if she were to have mushroom on its own, she prefer to have this Flat Mushroom Bake any time...
