How to make coronation chicken sandwich?
Quick and easy Coronation Chicken sandwich, made with a Greek yoghurt, mayonnaise, mango chutney, fresh coriander and seasoned with curry powder.Full recipe can be found in the recipe card below.
Step 1: Prepare the chicken.
I used chicken breast in the recipe because it is tasty, juicy (if you prepare them right) and healthy.
Remove scum.
Step 2: Prepare the sandwich filling
Chop fresh coriander
Cubed cooked chicken.
Add mayonnaise, curry powder, yoghurt, garam masala
Season with salt
Add chopped coriander to the chicken filling.
Step 3: Bread of choice
For my coronation chicken sandwich, I used white (store-bought) bread. You can opt for multi-grain or rye bread.
The star of this recipe is the chicken filling, so any bread will do!
Butter the bread.
You can opt out butter, but butter makes this sandwich richer in taste!
Step 4: Make the coronation chicken sandwich!
Spread the chicken filling onto bread.
Divide the chicken filling into four and fill up the bread.
Another optional steps, only if you do not eat crusts.
I love crusts!
Now your coronation chicken sandwich is ready to be devoured with a cup of English tea!
How do I keep any leftover coronation sandwich?
Coronation chicken sandwich has yoghurt and mayonnaise in the filling, best keep any leftover in the fridge.Keep them in an air tight container.
How long can I keep chicken sandwich?
Coronation chicken sandwich best eaten on the day it is made. However, if there is some leftover, coronation chicken sandwich is best eaten within 3 days.
