Chicken Kimchi Stir fry

I hope that you aren't tired of reading, looking (hopefully drooling...hehehe ;P ) at my another Korean dish, this time its Chicken and Kimchee Stir-fry :D

Chinese cabbage is easy available at the moment, and at a cheaper price whilst other vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower are much dearer... 'sigh'

Bought one, and its really huge for 99 cents.  I had kimchee in mind :D

... but I didn't make the kimchee...

for the first time, my girl volunteered to make kimchee, but her dad had to do the prep work ~ clean, washed and salt. Our kitchen would be flooded if she were to carry out prep work... she can be messy and meticulous at the same time. The worst combination of the two, the extremes!!!

...she did a good job of coating each leaves generously with the kimchee sauce... I wouldn't have the patient... ;P hence her remark " My kimchee tasted better than yours, mom :p "
well.... I absolutely agree :D

Bought another huge cabbage again last week... she did another batch "2 thumbs up, babe" of kimchee
What do we do when we have too much kimchee???

We stir-fry them :D .... with chicken, makes a wonderful one -pot meal :D

Chicken Kimchi Stir fry

Chicken and Kimchee Stir fry

800g chicken breast - cut into strips
2 cup of homemade kimchi - cut into strips
2 cloves of garlic - chopped
1 tablespoon paprika (optional)
salt to taste
2 tablespoon cooking oil
1 tablespooon of cornflour mix with 1/4 water
  1. Saute garlic for 2 minutes. 
  2. Add chicken strips. 
  3. Stir and cook until chicken is just cooked. 
  4. Add paprika (optional). 
  5. Stir. 
  6. Add kimchi and stir for 5 minutes. 
  7. Add corn flour mix and cook until sauce thickened.
  8. Serve with rice and additional kimchi.
