A bowl of this classic Szechuan Hot and Sour Soup is super addictive and easy to make.

This week has gone by very quickly.
It flew by even quicker when I had one child down with a cough and cold. It is always this time of the year :(
...and the worrying part is---- she is having her EXAMS, starting this week, starting TODAY!!!! English is her first paper.
Perhaps stress is another contributing factor :( ... my poor girl
Hot and sour soup is one of our favorite soups, the other is Chicken and Sweetcorn Soup.
Perhaps I should cook for her this soup again to combat the winter chill :)
What is your comfort food in winter or when you are in need of some TLC?
I am in need of some TLC... I am down with a sniffle too :(

Cheers Rosa :)
DeleteI guess this soup is most suitable for winter....brings comfort and warming to the stomach.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Mel :D
DeleteI usually do a quick-fix hot and sour with mushrooms, tofu, carrots and sometimes finely shredded cabbage. Then add that splash of vinegar...ooh..yum yum yum. Your hot and sour soup looks very appetizing, and from some "perspective", looks like the expensive "sharks fin" soup. Who needs inhumane, un-environmental friendly sharks fin soup when we all can have your hot and sour soup.
ReplyDeleteThank you Tigerfish :D
Deleteyour quick version sounds yumm.
Agree with you on shark fins, cruel and inhumane just to have that bit of flesh >:(
This looks really like something special! You really know your way around all these spices...The soup looks fantastic!
