My 'old time' favourite ... that comes in many names.. madelines, kuih bulu but the funniest name it has been called is... Kuih Pulu by none other than my Mr H...I honestly don't know where he got this from... so Jin Jang Joe (or country bumpkin!!)
just love bahulu...anytime. anyplace....

  • 115g or 4 oz plain flour
  • 115g or 4 oz sugar
  • 4 eggs - separate the yolk and white
Pre heat the oven to 200C, and heat the mould in the oven
In a mixer, beat the egg white and sugar, until white, fluffy and stiff, just like making a meringue.. Then add egg yolk one at a time, keep on beating until the mixture thickened. Mix in the flour one tablespoon at a time...
Remove the mould from the oven, and grease it. Spoon the mixture into the moulds... about 3/4 full. Bake for about 15 to 20 minutes or until golden in colour...
